It’s coming up on midnight…  It will be midnight by the time I finish this post and tuck into bed.
Thankfully the swag bags are all filled and loaded into my van.  The blackout bingo cards for door prizes are almost done printing.  I’ve got to make some door signs and then I’ll call it a [...]

OK, I’ve been noticing this quite a bit lately.  And not on new blogs, either, but on the blogs of people who have been active for a year or more.
How often do you read a blog and see something like this (taken from a real, live blog):
A couple-a months ago, the J and I went [...]

How to “do it all”.  If I had the answer for that I would be wealthy.  I think many of us seek that answer if the room full of women for the “Striking a Balance” session at Blissdom was any indication.
I’ve written before on trying to find my balance (Still Seeking Balance and Finding Balance) [...]

Al Gore, the inventor of the internet, may likely be the destroyer of it as well. New studies have shown that a major cause of global warming is dihydrogen monoxide. Apparently too much dihydrogen monoxide in the earth can cause catastrophic results, and too little can cause expansion of the ice caps- as [...]

I haven’t been very good about sharing what I learned at Blissdom.  Sorry for that.
When I say a couple of thoughts I truly mean “a couple of thoughts”.  Because I only wrote down two notes in the niche blogging session.
1) Your community is not an enemy.  Embrace it and share.  Your goal is to help [...]

Funnily enough as large companies continue to close and institute lay offs it brings something out in people.  That something is called “entrepreneurial spirit”.  I have met so many people in the past year who have begun small businesses and who are really making them work. The SmallBiz Social Media Summit in Hutchinson, Kansas wants to [...]

Though I like to think I know what I’m doing with SEO (search engine optimization) I am always looking to learn more.  SEO goddess Kelby Carr (Type A Mom) recently released her ebook: Mom Blog SEO.  Don’t let the name fool you: this is an SEO book for anyone.
The book is set up as a [...]

This time last week I was sitting in an engaging opening keynote speech at Blissdom.  You would think that since a week had passed I would be able to put my thoughts onto paper (as it were) and share.
But no.  The three conference days bookended by two days of driving have left my mind rather, [...]

Since I last wrote two things have happened.  We added another passenger on our “Roadtrip to Blissdom”.  Kara from Complic8ted Journey will be joining us.
10 hours.  5 States.  3 bloggers.  1 minivan.
And I secured a sponsor.  I’m sure excited to tell you that our sponsor is:

I’ll be utilizing many of Cozi’s free online tools including:

In just a few weeks (3 to be exact) I will be taking the girls to school, packing the van, picking up my  blogging buddy Paula and hitting the road to Blissdom!
According to Mapquest it’s a 10 hour drive.  Which is, coincidentally, almost as long as it takes to fly there.  (Up at 3 [...]

Paula and I spent the afternoon and evening in Wordpress hell.  We ended up completely removing her theme files and starting over.  Which worked.  Woo-Hoo!
We relieved some stress by creating a new header for her blog with my Creative Memories StoryBook Creator software.  Isn’t it cute?
After this afternoon we will both be seeking a stiff [...]

My friend Tamara and her family are in the (very long) process of foreign adoption.  You can read about the process and get updates at their blog Journey 4 Hope and be sure to view this article from their local newspaper.
Adoption is expensive.  To help raise the funds they asked friends and family to donate [...]

There are posts across the blog-o-sphere giving summaries of the Type A Mom Conference last weekend in Asheville.  First I want to give big kudos to Kelby for putting together a great conference.  She did a wonderful job, pulled in some amazing speakers and had a wide variety of topics.
So…  What did I “take away” [...]

Today is the final day of the Type A Mom Conference.  I had a great time, learned a few things I can’t wait to apply to my blogs and made great connections with bloggers and companies.  A few of whom I hope will be representing at I_Blog.
And speaking of companies who sponsored Type A Mom- [...]
