Got Milk? I Do…

Milk Mustaches

Milk Mustaches

Last Friday I took the girls out to Jordan Creek Town Center for “The Great Gallon Give” hosted by Got Milk?

I was surprised by the turnout…  AE Dairy and Land O Lakes both brought trucks and each had 1000 gallons of milk to give away.  That’s 2000 gallons of free milk.

Are you curious how much they gave away?  Not quite 1000 gallons.  I believe the remainder was delivered to food banks.

There was also a booth set up inside the mall where you could get a milk mustache photo taken and get some fun milk goodies.  The girls scored t-shirts (which have been used as nightgowns), AE dog tags and a frisbee.

And I got 25 gallons of milk.

OK, it’s not technically 25 gallons of milk, but it is 25 coupons for a free gallon of milk.

coupon 001These coupons expire February 8, 2010- just over 3 weeks away.  I am giving these away- while they last.  Just leave me a comment with how many gallons you want (up to 3) and I’ll email you to get your address.  First come basisUpdated:  Coupons are gone.

A few rules:

  1. Maximum 3 coupons per household
  2. Please don’t be greedy. If you will only use 2 gallons between now and Feb 8 only request 2 coupons.
  3. Coupons are good in the 48 contiguous states, void in Alaska and Hawaii.
  4. If sales tax applies in your state you will pay it.

Be sure to visit WhyMilk.com to enter to win free milk for a year.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this giveaway.  Unless you count the 4 coupons I kept.

We love milk! 3 gallons, please.

  2. Brett Trout says:

We are a big milk family. With just the four of us, we’ve have 2 gallon days. Despite engaging in death defying activities for 40+ years, I’ve never broken a bone (of my own). I simply can not say enough good things about milk.

  3. Sally says:

Wow, how awesome!!! Milk is so expensive these days!! It’s gone up about 75 cents/gallon here in the last few months.

I’d love 2 coupons (do they work here in KS?) if you have some. We go through about 2 gallons a week.

  4. Angie Gabel says:

Hey Jody…could I get 1 coupon please? Thank you for sharing.

  5. Heather says:

Our family of 6 will gobble them up! Just bought 3 today, but we’ll need more in about 4 or 5 days! Thanks so much! :)

  6. Hillary says:

My son and I love milk and go through a couple gallons per week. This is awesome.

I would love 3 gallons. My 2 grandsons and my son are living with me now. We go through 2 to 3 gallons a week. thanks

  8. Lindsay says:

I’d love two of them, if there are any left!

  9. Jenni says:

We’d probably use two. If you have some left, I’d gladly take one or two of them.

  10. Stacie says:

Jody, I will take 1-3 coupons. We love our milk around here! Thanks so much! I wanted to go, but not worth the 1 1/2 hour drive for free milk! :) Staciele(at)netins(dot)net

With 3 boys – we love milk. We go through about 2 gallons a week. if there are coupons to spare, I joyfully raise my hand.

Many thanks to you, AE Dairy and Land O Lakes for your (their!) generosity!

  12. Nancy L says:

By reading the comments I’m not sure if you have any coupons left but you do I’d take 1 or 2. My family of 5 are serious milk drinkers (rarely is there anything but milk or water drank at my house) and we go through about a gallon a day. We like to keep the dairy farmers in business :)

  13. Marie says:

Wow! Would love a free gallon of milk. We drink 2-3/week.

  14. Sara says:

Oh, this would really help me! Just separating from my husband, and any help would be good! I’ll take two, if you still have them! Thanks!!!

  15. Adrianne says:

My family devours milk like it’s water (apparently a one year old and 3 year old will do that) we go through about 4-5 gallons a week. I don’t want to take any from anyone else though so just one would be great.
