Holiday Brunch Casserole
Psst… Just in case you’ve been too busy to notice… Next Thursday is Thanksgiving. And you know that means people will be at your house- or you’ll be at someone’s house- and breakfast will need to be made. This is a quick and easy option that pleases everyone. Make it the night before and stick it in the oven the next morning. You know, when you leave to go shopping, so all the guys will feed the kids something decent for breakfast.
This recipe came from a Jimmy Dean sausage ad years ago.

1 lb. (cooked, drained, crumbled)
4 1/2 cups cubed day old bread (this is also terrific with croissants)
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
10 eggs, slightly beaten
4 cups whole milk (I used skim)
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp onion powder
Fresh ground pepper, to taste
Butter 9×13 inch baking dish; place bread in dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Combine the next 6 ingredients in separate bowl; pour evenly over bread and cheese. Sprinkle sausage and additional ingredients over the top. Cover and chill overnight.
Preheat oven to 325Âș. Bake uncovered for about one hour. Tent with foil if top begins to brown too quickly.
Recipe says it serves 8, I say 10-12.

I just printed this one out– looks yummy!
