My friend Tamara and her family are in the (very long) process of foreign adoption.  You can read about the process and get updates at their blog Journey 4 Hope and be sure to view this article from their local newspaper.

Adoption is expensive.  To help raise the funds they asked friends and family to donate items for an auction.  An “adoption auction”, you could say.

In addition to the auction they also have a vacation raffle: Tickets are $10 each and the prize is 2 airline tickets and 5 nights at a Marriott in North America, Central America or the Caribbean.

I would consider it a personal favor if you would visit the Journey 4 Hope Auction, peruse the site and make a bid or two.  The money goes for a very good cause, one that Tamara and her family have been called to.

Just FYI: The online auction will run through Oct 23rd. On Saturday October 24th, we will be hosting a dessert and live auction. Some of the online auction items will move to the live auction. The highest online bid will be the starting bid at the live auction.
