Easy on the Eyes by Jane Porter : A Review and Giveaway

26

Oh, this book was just what I needed to read.テつ I commented to my friend at Hatchette Books that I wanted a fun book to read as I have been reading so much serious stuff lately- mostly history (Founding Fathers stuff) and political (those bills our politicians don’t bother to)- that I just wanted something easy and fun.

She sent me a list of recommendations and Easy on the Eyes sounded good to me.テつ In the past couple weeks I have read it, re-read it, thumbed through it and read favorite parts again and re-re-read it.テつ Not only was it fun but it was interesting and even a bit thought provoking.

Tiana Tomlinson has it all…テつ She’s the hostess of a hot entertainment show, she’s beautiful and she’s smart.テつ She’s also 38 which, in Hollywood, the land ofテつ eternal youth, is practically ancient.テつ Her network is hinting that she should have plastic surgery and eery time she turns around – whether it’s debating on Larry King Live, at a fundraiser or Thanksgiving at a friend’s house- she’s running into Michael O’Sullivan aka Dr. Hollywood, plastic surgeon to the stars.

Tiana has choices to make both in her career and personally and a trip to document a medical mission to Africa will bring her back to her childhood and forward to new possibilities.

I really enjoyed this book!テつ Partially because I’m 38…テつ But mostly because it is so well written.テつ I highly recommend it if you’re looking for an entertaining summer read.

Can I tell you the TWO best books I’ve read this summer? First, I reread Little Women, and just absolutely loved it. A classic for a reason! And coincidentally, I just finished a few days ago Flirting With Forty by Jane Porter! And again, absolutely loved it. It was the first book I’d read by her and a great introduction to a new author.
