We love getting mail.  I think that may be one of the highlights of our day.  You just never know what’s going to arrive…

Brenna was very excited because a rather large, puffy envelope I received last week was actually for her.  The envelope contained two packs of the new Bella Sara Royalty trading cards.

With Brenna being not quite 5 the world of trading cards is new to us.  We ripped into the packages and here’s what we found:

Each package contained a sheet of stickers, a sheet of temporary tattoos, 5 trading cards and one code to be used online.  After applying a tattoo (or two) we went online……And entered the magical land of North of North.  We chose a user name for Brenna, and a password.  I really liked the fact that my email had to be input as well and we both received welcome messages.  I also really like that there is no way for anyone to contact my daughter while she is on this site.  It’s a safe game where she interacts with only the horses.  The parental controls also make it easy for me to limit her online gaming time.

After we set up Brenna got to choose her own horse and name it.  Then it was off to the stall where she fed and watered her horse, brushed it, and cleaned the stall.

Then she explored the rest of the site.  In addition to her horse’s stall she can also set up her own cottage, explore the world, play games, do puzzles and even print pages for offline fun.

The code card added magical horses for Brenna to care for and play with as well as horseshoes- the currency in North of North- castle rooms to explore and prizes.

Because Brenna can’t read yet she needs a bit of help if there are written instructions.  For the most part, though, she navigates through the website without difficulty and looks forward to playing the “horsie game”.
