The past month has gone by in a blur…  Believe it or not, my family has only been home from Massachusetts for a month.  I know!  I’ve done a lot during that time…

You might remember that I threw together the Des Moines Mom’s Nite Out (with help from my IRL bloggy friend Paula) in just under 2 weeks.

I felt a bit like a chicken with it’s head cut off (which, having grown up on a farm and seen first hand is a bit funny…  and gory) and my family got many rushed meals.

Then, just a couple days before the big night there came a box to my door.  Now, I had been receiving many boxes- all goodies to share with the moms who came to Mom’s Nite Out- but this one was for me!

It was from Unilever.  You probably know them by these brand names: Dove, Breyer’s, Q-Tip, Suave, Vaseline, Ragu…  Inside were:

• a coupon for a free Bertolli meal
• a large box of Lipton Iced Tea bags
• a jar of Bertolli Alfredo sauce
• a Knorr noodles side dish
• coupons for Country Crock & I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter
• the Family Fun Book- filled with recipes!

That Bertilli meal came in handy the night after MNO when I just didn’t have the energy -or desire- to cook.  The tea bags were quickly absconded by my sister who loves iced tea and the Alfredo sauce…  It’s being put to use tonight with a couple of chicken breasts and some pasta.
